12J Venture Capital Companies (VCC)

12 J Venture Capital Companies are regulated by the Financial Services Board and registered with the South African Revenue Services in terms of Section 12J of the Income Tax Act. These vehicles offer taxpayers a mechanism to take advantage of generous tax incentives through investing in promising small and medium size business enterprises in the Republic of South Africa, by way of subscribing for shares in such companies.

SPS offers a complete end to end service to clients that want to take advantage of the opportunities available through the 12J program.


Securities Lending

SPS offers the full suite of securities-lending services and ranks amongst the oldest independent securities-lenders in South Africa.


Structured Solutions

SPS focuses on developing structured and yield enhancing products for Clients, who typically are, the long-term holders of bonds and equities.

We offer solutions that enable quoted companies, to increase liquidity and borrowing capacity by utilising their strategic holdings of listed instruments.


Investment Transaction Analysis

SPS employs a proprietary  Investment Transaction Analysis tool which adds a new dimension to the insight into the investment process.

The system has been specifically designed to analyze every transaction executed on behalf of our clients, and from this data the system identify trends and provide an impact analysis of where value over time has been gained or lost.

Together with proprietary reports, which evaluate the data against a range of criteria, our clients are provided with vastly improved insight into the activities, abilities and efficiency of those managing their assets.

The results are presented in a user-friendly comparative format, enabling clients to make informed decisions.
